This just in: traditional bathroom style is a trend for 2010. So good news, you probably already have a trendy bathroom.
Ready to be amazed, intrigued and astonished? Then read excerpts from the new book, Game Change, about the 2008 presidential election. Because this years bathroom trends, released yesterday by the NKBA, are a bit underwhelming. Here are snippets of two of the four 2010 bathroom trends from the NKBA. These will probably not leave in you in a catatonic stupor:
- “Traditional will be the most popular design style in bathrooms in 2010, as contemporary designs will be a distant second, followed by the Shaker style as an even more distant third.”
- “Faucet finishes in the bathroom are similar to those used in current kitchen designs, with brushed nickel continuing to lead the way in 2010.” (Read the entire NKBA trends article)

If you read the second trend and threw your soap across the room in the disgust, then check out designer Cheryl Kees Clendenon’s faucet trends for 2010, which provides some great ideas about non-nickel finishes, like iron hammertone (pictured above).
