Usually when a bathroom remodel goes well, it's the clients singing the praises of the designer. But a recent remodeling project in San Jose, Calif. left designer Thomas Scheid of JNR Design Solutions gushing about the clients with whom he worked.

Well, they can’t all be award-winning bathroom designs. This bathroom exists in a Phoenix-area restaurant, and depending on where you stand on pink bathrooms, this is either putrid or perfect.

Remodeling magazine recently released their “Cost vs. Value 2009 10” study, where they “report on the relationship between remodeling costs and resale value.” Not surprisingly, from a national perspective the amount of value a remodeled room adds to a home is down in most categories.
