His-and-Hers Vanity

Award: Master Suite/Bathrooms Third Place
Design Notes: The design challenge: to achieve a sense of his and hers in a tight space, while making the room feel as open and light as possible. To provide enough comfortable personal space, the vanities sit side by side but face opposite directions, forming an “island” in the bathroom’s center. Shoji door components conceal storage and help achieve the light and open look.  See floor plan.
Product and Material Highlights: Bristol Design and Construction custom cabinets made from wenge and sapele woods; Costa Esmeralda granite countertops; Botticino tumbled marble flooring.
