Cartridge valve faucets come in a variety of styles, including wall mount.
• Cartridge faucets are available in both single-handle and two-handle models. Cartridges are hollow and consist of plastic and brass, and work with o-rings within the faucet body to regulate water flow on two-handle models, and can also regulate water temperature in single-handle models.
• If a cartridge faucet begins to wear down and leak, the problem can often be corrected by replacing the o-ring, which is an inexpensive item. Occasionally the entire cartridge must be replaced, which can cost between $25 and $35.
• Cartridges are found in both inexpensive faucets, as well as faucets that exceed $200.
